Admittedly most of the "science" types I meet these days ar healthcare personnel who are also not reading the abstracts themselves, and I'm tired of being treated like a jerk when I dare to ask them (I think, and I've worked in public service, so I have some idea how NOT to waste their time with wacko questions) any questons whatsoever.
