Again, I really learned a lot from this article about how people think about their own end-of-life choices. As noted, I don't think it's so easy to take matters into your own hands--either you blow past the point of your own understanding/consent to do it yourself (and I think it's mostly still illegal in most areas of the U.S.), or you expect your heirs to help you along, and that's not an easy thing to expect of other people either.
I don't know what the answer is.
