Agreed: there were so many ugly stories about every side of the Vietnam War.
When I was little I sold veggies at a farm market, often standing next to Hmong immigrants working with their entire families to do the same thing. It was hard to do it when you were born on a farm here--I couldn't imagine how these people had traveled thousands of miles only to start all over. Through no fault or involvement of their own.
I have not heard of the Major Knight story but will now have to go find it. Thank you. My heart broke in this story for the fact that Hugh Thompson was ostracized for thirty years--just for being decent. That is just wrong.
Thank you for reading, and for your comment.
