Along with death and taxes, I'd suggest that the third constant in life is that it's never been easy to raise kids and never will be.

Thank you for this helpful comment, it helps me to learn how tech can be used for good. I mostly hate the cell-phone world (I used to leave my house primarily to get AWAY from my phone, which always felt great) but I also have to be pragmatic and recognize that it has led to everyone changing plans at the last minute. For a person who struggles with detail and scheduling, this is an absolute nightmare--I like to make a plan and stick to it--but it's the way it is.

I hope things are better for you and yours with bullying by now. In my family we've all come across that and that's the fourth constant in life--bullying always sucks.
