As an introvert who often gets up analyzing what has just been said and what might be said (as well as what was said last week), I sometimes struggle to stay "present" in conversations--focused on what someone else is saying, rather than formulating a response. So I am sympathetic when people are listening with half their attention.
But you're right, when people give you their full attention, it can often be a lovely gift. It is certainly one I can strive to provide more often; I definitely want to develop listening as a skill.
Thanks so much for reading!
