Communication really takes a lifetime to learn, doesn't it?

The more I think about this, the more I realize that as a small woman with no professional cache and plain presentation, I have sometimes interrupted people, especially at work, when I wanted to make a point I felt was getting lost or was important. I actually tend not to talk a lot in meetings, which, combined with (let's call it) "strategic interrupting," is not so much rudeness as it is exasperation with meeting talk that goes on to long.

But it would definitely be rude in friendly communication. And it's rude when I do it to my husband when it's not his way. I could probably get away with it sometimes because he knows how I talk with family and close friends--but with age comes an appreciation for the great gift that is less rudeness (or manners, to put it another way).

Thank you reading and for the nice comment.
