I really think the only secret to Medium is writing bro-oriented self-help, but that's okay, it can still be a fun place to experiment, right?

So glad I'm not the only one who struggles with descriptive writing, although I hope you found ways to develop the skill? What kind of fiction do you write, and do you post that at Medium (I love your essays here but have I missed your fiction?)?

Over Christmas we were at my in-laws' and while we were in the kitchen, my sister-in-law glanced at my mother-in-law's fridge and said hey, new fridge! And I had to laugh because I'd been putting stuff in and out of it and I hadn't yet noticed it was a new fridge. Pathetic. I've got to get more observant!!
