Ditto with me and my spouse. With me freelancing we don’t make as much money as we would if I had a more traditional job, but my role is to do a lot of the house, food, kids, kinship ties stuff to free up his mental space. It’s working so far but that health insurance — that’s the main thing. I feel sorry for partners who would both like to freelance.
