Exactly. If I could see anything changing for the better, or a focus on growing to help others and provide charity works or resources--that would be much different than this cost-cutting nonsense that seems meant solely to consolidate power and resources in urban spaces and within church admin.

I am so sorry the Church globally has caused so much hurt through its scandals. A dear friend of mine was married to a victim and to learn the particulars of that has just been so eye-opening. I do not think the Church has yet atoned for it.

Oh my, the amounts read out on the altar. That's one way to do it. Not a great way, but certainly A way.
