Fair point and I am trying to learn not to take over what my spouse is saying.

But it's definitely more complex. I'll also admit to being guilty of listening to too many things at once and trying to respond to all of them--a lot of times when my spouse and I are talking, the kids are also around and talking, and we might all be doing different things, and jumping in when we can. What would probably be most helpful would be to pay more and better attention to fewer conversations!
