Good points all, Keith. I hope if the breakdown comes enough people still have skills that they can band together and help each other.

But of course, I am a hardcore introvert, so although I am no fan of systems or THE system, I recognize it allows me to sit in my house a LOT, and not have to get along with other people, which has never been one of my strong points. Perhaps this is why I'm advocating for clinging to the system we have. I know humans should probably BE interdependent but by God do I hate trying to get along with other people. It's a problem.
