Hey, my library just hosted a virtual talk by this author that I could still access/watch--should I bother?

It is really, really hard for me to turn down the sugar when a) I feel like the end of the world climate change is coming, and when civilization looks like Cormac McCarthy's "The Road," won't I feel stupid for not having in all the easily accessible pop and candy I could have?, and b) my mother is making living into her 80s look like a nightmare I want no part of.

(Me? Overdramatic? Never!)
