Actually raising kids seems to mostly be about taking them to the doctor, trying to figure out how best to work with the school system and also teach your kid how to figure out/get along with the other kid, and buying socks.

But your ideas are very good too. Actually your comment is a good reminder that I could be a bit more interested in what interests them--Pokemon and the like--since I want them to be interested in what I am interested in too (reading, being an okay person). This should be a two-way street.

They need so much love up to five and then they need MORE. So I'm totally in agreement with your #1!
