I actually have a much easier adult life than my mom did--wow, did she work. But I feel she also had some autonomy and satisfaction that I do not. It's all trade-offs.

Thank you for your kind words. I am so grateful to the caregivers at my mom's facility, providing health care and bodily care is not my strong suit. I am so grateful just to be able to go and sit and have a meal with my mom because I no longer have to stress about helping clean her house or follow her around on her old tile floor because I was afraid of her falling.
