I actually really hope my kids never experience danger. But I also believe a large part of that is taking care not to be in places that are dangerous, even if somebody knows where you are. I really want to impress upon them the seriousness of thinking about where they're going and who they're going there with.

You rightly point out what makes good judgment. But sometimes that doesn't even matter when bad luck is involved.

It's a tricky old world.
