I ADORE TV and I'm not afraid to say it.
When done well I think TV can be a great medium for learning about things outside your normal experience. Take a program like "The Wire." Not British, but stupendous. Eye-opening, thought-provoking, led me to read more because I tracked down all the creator's (David Simon's) books...
Olivia Colman is SO excellent. She is also in "Broadchurch," with David Tennant, have you seen it?
I love regional accents of all sorts and wish we had more and stronger in the U.S. I have a friend from New Jersey and my Midwestern ears could listen to him talk forever, I just love the different sounds.
And thank you for the reminder--"Suits" is on my to-be-watched list. Must get to it one of these days! I'm a bit sad at all the rancor surrounding the Meghan and Harry stuff--but hey, they're doing what they have to do. I can't imagine having every detail of my every day planned like the Royals must, and dealing with the press just saying everything they want about you and you're not allowed to talk back or correct the record? That has to be infuriating. I can't blame Harry for not wanting that for his kids.
Ta ta until later!!
