I agree with you that this topic needs to be explored more. But nobody wants to talk about it. And the health system, such as it is, has no time for research or curiosity, it's all hands on deck to just try and provide basic medicine. My spouse, who had a heart attack in his early 40s, just tried to make his annual appointment for a check-up with a cardiologist. Their first opening? For a man in his 40s? September 2025. (And p.s. My husband doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, works out, eats healthy. Just lost the genetic sweepstakes, that's all.)
