I really was surprised to learn more about the history of this word. I am distressed at how much time I wasted in school when I was young without seeming to learn anything (partially my fault, partially my school district's fault) and I know my kids are learning even less. It's depressing. So sometimes I just write these to exercise my brain. :)

Cryptomoney. Don't even get me started. You ever read Zeke Faux's "Number Go Up"? One of the few books I've read on the subject that helped me get more of a handle on crypto--although I still think it's a very, very bad idea.
