I appreciate this thoughtful comment.

I think there's a lot the Boomers have to offer, actually. If they felt financially able, the whole world is calling out for volunteers in all fields (is just one example).

Invariably these discussions lead here, with people wishing there were other ways to control our "exits from that complex"--but I'm not even advocating for that. I don't actually know what I'm advocating for, but I certainly want people to understand more about what medical and care costs look like when you need full-on assistance. And I want the people who provide that assistance to be paid a lot more. But I guess the world has lots of money for billionaires, not so much for caregivers.

p.s. I made some questionable curling iron and hairspray choices in the 90s, so you're not wrong there.
