I had an ovarian cyst the size of a volleyball that caused a distended belly and none of my doctors thought of that at first either. And neither did I! I'd never had one, so who thinks, oh yeah, cyst? Or fibroids? Nobody EVER talks about this stuff. It's infuriating. No kid should come out of high school health class without learning some of these terms, and I mean ALL kids, regardless of gender.
