I have no beefs with Hitchens. Anyone who writes a whole book on the war crimes of Henry Kissinger is okay with me. Which made it all the more interesting that Hitchens became very pro-war during the Iraq War, but to each their own.

Anywhere there are adults, there is the chance for child abusers. It does not excuse it. But recent articles point out that incest is more widespread than ever believed, and there have been educators and cops who were charged with child abuse in my community. No institution is free of that.

Doesn't make it right. I definitely want the church to make reparations and address this issue much more forcefully than they have.
