I know. I don't really argue these points because religion is highly subjective and, while I am Catholic, I am not here to evangelize it. I think that has to come from the religion itself.

All I can say is that I do believe in God and I would be lonely without him. Further, I would like to believe the church as based on the teachings of Jesus should be protectors of the poor and downtrodden. I want my church to focus on its own corporal works of mercy--to feed the hungry, to shelter the homeless, to visit the sick and the imprisoned. I need to become better at them myself.
