I know this is a common reaction to stories about the nursing home, but it is not always so easy to know when you want to be "put down" and how. It is also difficult to legislate fairly.
To any able-bodied, indepenent person the idea of long-term care is so scary. I know. I get it. But the compassion shown by so many caregivers has made me rethink so many things. I'd be more interested in finding solutions that paid such caregivers more, rather than making assisted suicide legal.
But thank you for reading and for sharing your opinion.
