I love my mom but there is not enough AI in the world to free up my energy and time to help her sufficiently. Even if I had stayed with her for 24 hours in her home, it would have worn me out in about a week. Dementia is wild, and depending on when it develops in a person, they can have a LOT of energy to be more agitated than you can keep up with, all day AND all night.

I have yet to see how AI and robots could actually perform the physical care many elderly people need.
