I love the hours of service work. Even when I got a degree and was a librarian I was often happy to work Saturdays, nights, holidays, because it is so SWEET to have off days when everyone else is working.

But the lack of health insurance and benefits at most of my retail/restaurant jobs? In the U.S., where one unexpected procedure will bankrupt you--that's more of a risk than I was comfortable with.
