I shouldn't be so hard on Boomers; I know a lot of them grew up with a lot of difficulties as well. But you do make a good point about the (particularly) American lifestyle and its dependence (which continues, if the leaf blowers and SUVs in my neighborhood are any indication) on cheap oil and cheap food. We are all in, I fear, for lots of scary wake-up calls. I am scared.
