I tend to agree with this.

The problem is our government DOES do a lot with housing, housing subsidies, TIF, grants, etc.--but it mainly gets sucked up by big-money interests and predatory developers/private business. I don't know if America knows how to do true public housing where the "public" money doesn't simply get funneled right into the pockets of "private interests."

So frustrating.
