I think all generations have had stressors of one type or another; I don't think it was easy to be a housewife when there was some other profession you felt called to do, but I do get frustrated when older people don't keep in touch with younger people to see what's going on with them. I don't see much mentoring coming from the Silents or the Boomers. I really don't.
