I think most people would consider MDs to be people who study science? Although you are correct, he is not a climate scientist.

I don't see how the statement that I said he could have used instead--about asking people to prioritize masks for medical personnel--wouldn't have done the same thing without deceiving the public. Which he did. Regardless of motive. I believe many other public figures (scientists or not) have deceived people willfully for many, many years now, and I'm sorry, but that erodes trust, which is partly how we got to this place where people don't trust anyone, which I freely admit IS A PROBLEM. And it's only going to get worse with AI and deepfakes.

Or I'll just say what you really want me to say here, which is you're just absolutely right and I'm absolutely wrong. Okay. I'll say it. Science or what is presented as science is always right and always to be trusted.

Whatever. Let's just move on to climate change is here. We agree on that. I am proud people have offered many suggestions here in the comments to try and start to address it.
