I don't see how the statement that I said he could have used instead--about asking people to prioritize masks for medical personnel--wouldn't have done the same thing without deceiving the public. I believe many other public figures (scientists or not) have deceived people willfully for many, many years now, and I'm sorry, but that erodes trust, which is partly how we got to this place where people don't trust anyone, which I freely admit IS A PROBLEM.
