I very much enjoyed your chatterbox story--thank you for sharing that with me. I remember the word "obnoxious" getting thrown around by adults to describe me sometimes--and I'm embarrassed to say they were probably right! I'm trying to improve!

Age and hearing difficulties and many other things can definitely impact conversations. I have been so sad to have several relatives and friends experience hearing loss and the start of forgetfulness--but it is also training me how very pleasurable conversations can be that are slower and simpler. And maybe on easier and more pleasant topics/ideas. Thank you for this reminder of another reason why it's important to not always rush in to talk--I do want to leave room for others, and I certainly don't want them to feel uncomfortable because I'm talking too fast or mumbling.
