If it makes you feel any better, there's plenty of this sort of crap when you DO have kids, and also while you're having kids.
When expecting at 36 I had an ultrasound for the baby. Here's how it went:
Tech: Everything looks fine, but I see you're 36.
Me: Yes. I'm 36. But everything looks fine?
Tech: It looks fine, but you should know that over 35 you're a high-risk pregnancy and there's much higher chances something is wrong with the fetus.
Me: Do you see something wrong?
Tech: No, but I want you to know...
Me: Got it. Thanks.
Multiply that encounter by 1000 and that's about how many similar stupid conversations I've had with doctors about my women parts AND my babies.
