If you are a professor not making big bucks, I'm sorry, because teaching people is very difficult these days, but unfortunately I know like three profs in my community making 150 grand each and they're universally the most self-righteous, most clueless, most "let's fly to Aruba for five days and have poor people wait on us" people I know.

I do know they're not paying adjunct faculty, lecturers, or TAs anything.

Yup, the whole topic of what communities and orgs are "allowed" to spend money on is also a ridiculous one. I have a feeling if you trace all those rules to their origin, they were somehow set up to channel money to somebody's buddy somehow.

Me, bitter? Nah. :)
