I'm a writer AND a reader and I'm pretty much done with Medium too. I still enjoy some of what I read, but I know anyone can publish anything without fact-checking or sources, so I've come to realize I've got to spend my reading time and dollars supporting writers of books and other edited essays. What I would love is for some of my favorite writers like Shannon Ashley and Jessica Wildfire to write books, then I would just go buy those.
