I’m so glad I wrote this whiny article, because I’ve learned a lot about Medium in everyone’s answers. I hadn’t been here long enough for the backstory, so I appreciate that.

I can also respect wanting to be free from advertising — but I think that’s already been done by some more traditional publications. “Orion” and “The Progressive” (the latter, mostly but not completely free from advertising). I guess I’d rather go support them. Can anyone else think of any journals/online journals not supported by advertising?
