I'm so glad it sounds like you have good communication patterns with your kids. Congrats on getting them through high school and into college! Everyone seems to take that for granted but I think it's an achievement for all involved.

I am not long on patience so must practice before the kids get to high school. Your comment is very helpful and I've seen the truth of it already. I've never really had FOMO though (or else I outgrew it at a young age because I've never really had the money to keep up), so I think we will just have to focus on the fact that you can't do everything, all the time, and expect to do it all well.
