I'm so glad you're telling me this. It's fascinating! America thinks only it exists so we never get this kind of cultural info from elsewhere.

To my knowledge there is no real coordinated rewards program here--you can collect points when you use credit cards that can be used broadly, at like gas stations or grocery stores, but most stores, even if owned by the same conglomerate, only seem to offer rewards points that must be earned and used in their stores--like Kohl's or Macy's or what few other big retailers are left.
