It's actually a pretty average movie, but it was fun and the music was great. I taped it off TV and rewatched it a ton of times, but I always fast forwarded through any of the bits with the minister and his wife (who cares about the old people, I remember thinking), so it was nice to find a new appreciation for what seemed like a time with slightly more nuance/acceptance than we have now.

Great tip about movies--my kids are just now starting to have long enough attention spans that we could watch some and discuss. "The Truman Show" is a great idea.
