I've always been a librarian or a freelancer so I've been able to not shop for clothes at a pretty advanced level. I own one pair of jeans at a time and when they wear through, I have to go buy a replacement pair, which leads to me going to Goodwill, buying a pair of pants, and then telling my spouse (with indignation) that jeans are now up to 8 dollars. At which point he usually suggests that I may in fact be insane.
