I've never understood the confusion about remaining friends with one's exes. If I liked someone enough to go out with them, why on earth wouldn't they still be my friend when we realized we weren't compatible romantically?

People need friends. Don't be the insecure person who frowns upon any of your partner's friends...even if they are exes.
