I've written articles like this before and many people respond that they plan to, ahem, follow the Inuit custom, but a. I think that's so depressing, I was hoping that instead we could pay elder care workers better and recognize the dignity in the work, and b. by the time most people are "ready to go," their minds are shot and nobody's going to let them follow the Inuit custom. Dementia is a particularly sneaky slope that way.
