Lee, I think most whistleblowers would be happy just to be able to keep working in their jobs or career fields without all the retaliation--they wouldn't even need the big prize! That said, sometimes financial system whistleblowers get rewards for their information, and "qui tam" whistleblowers--those who bring legal cases involving government waste and overspending--can get a share of the money they save the government by pointing out the problem, but mostly? Whistleblowers don't get much except fired and then mired in expensive legal battles.
