The other day I was at the end of a long line at Walgreens, and the clerk looked ahead to see how many people she had to help, and when she met my eyes, I crinkle-smiled them at her. She crinkle-eye-smiled back. When I got to the register, she said, "Hey, you made it!" and we both laughed. I couldn't believe she could still laugh after being on her feet all shift; people are amazing.
