Luckily after an abdominal surgery messed me up for years, I found a person who did deep tissue/muscle massage and she largely solved my problems. She also trained me how to do some tissue work on myself, which has made all the difference. That person was not covered by insurance; I give thanks every day that I had the resources to go see her. Otherwise I would still be in pain and no regular doctor would give a shit.
