Maybe so. Maybe they get in by knowing people or just by being high-level salespeople? Salespeople seem never to need degrees to make a lot of money.

But I have never met anyone in my area with a corporate job or job in government or education who doesn't have a degree.

Maybe the tech world is different. I know Peter Thiel says a degree is not necessary, even though he has two of them.
