My spouse has collecting tendencies so I find myself tossing out everything I own in order to compensate! :)

I love non-collectors; good on you. Sorry you walked into a full house that needed to be cleaned out; I find it interesting that otherwise responsible parents (which both mine and my in-laws were) have no qualms about leaving it too long to be able to get rid of ANY of their own stuff.
