No question about British TV is unrelated--ask them anytime, anywhere!

That said I'm really sad I can't answer your question. I live in the U.S., so although I have made an effort to view all British TV possible--there are big holes in my knowledge. I had not heard of this series but I adore John Simm and now may have to track it down. Looks like it only ran for two series?

I looked it up at Wikipedia and it references the class differences between characters, particularly because it was set in the early 20th century? So it says, "domestics are expected to face the walls when the master walks by"? You refer to the wealthy tall guy-- so maybe the turning of their backs on him is because they're working class/servants and he's the lord of the manner and they're not permitted to look at him?

Off to see if I can stream this one somewhere--
