Of course. Everyone understands that people want to stay in their own home as long as possible.
The problem is, most younger people do not even have a home they feel they will be able to keep as they age. They pay rent to apartment landlords year after year after year after year, and often live in buildings with tight parking, elevators, long hallways, all sorts of other things that make it hard to a. get in and out with small kids, and b. get in and out as an eventual old person.
I really don't know what the answer is, primarily due to people living longer and staying in larger homes than people ever owned previously. But we need to come up with some sort of answer that gives people some kind of ownership, not just more "units" of high-rent living spaces.
