Oh my, I am so sorry, the macular degeneration is almost worse than the dementia. I hope your mother's progresses very slowly and she can keep as much of her sight as long as possible.

Guilt is a part of everyday living now. The few times I do get to sit down and relax a bit, I think, I haven't earned this time. If I hadn't taken my mother to Memory Care, I wouldn't have this time...
