Oh, that is so kind, but there is nothing selfless about the way I am a caregiver. I find it really hard work and a lot of times I resent it, particularly so when I had to drive out to my mom's house every day. I have the highest, highest respect for people who care for others fulltime in their homes and who do it for work--it is the most important work out there and it is not adequately paid.

I hope that you are in a place now where you can look after your personal needs as well. You are spot on when you say it can all deteriorate much, much faster than you would ever believe.
