There are so many homes like that and I fear there are only going to be more as the need becomes greater and even good places become chronically understaffed.

How good it was of you to go see the person regularly. Nothing you could really do to change that situation but sometimes a drop of kindness even in an ocean of crap makes an unbelievable difference.

I love the dismissal. Feels like mom before dementia. I've got work to do--get going!! :) I'm glad you have a similar memory that makes you laugh.
